Heidi Harrison, publisher of Emerald House Publishing and author.

Heidi is the author of The Four Seasons (Sapphire Books Publishing), When Paris Was Her Lover (Emerald House Publishing- winner of an honorable mention in the 2019 Landmark Prize for Fiction with Homebound Publications), and From the Outside, her latest publication.

She has always loved writing. At an early age, she realized that words allowed for the exodus of her soul, a rhapsody, a sense of grace enveloping her. Writing has been her boulder, her stories the healing balm in a world that sometimes cries out for this.

She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology, and a dual degree in Child Development and French. She spent almost thirty years as a psychotherapist and a teacher of young children.  She is also a classically trained violinist. She has traveled extensively between the hemispheres and has lived and studied in Paris and in Grenoble, France.

She has written several novels and children's books, countless stories, (fiction and creative nonfiction) and a full-length memoir.  In each of these works, she is inspired by the imagination itself, by real stories of people's lives, by love, by music, by the stunning majesty of nature, by the beauty and power of words, relationships, the diversity of cultures, and the resiliency of the human heart. We live in a complicated and often challenging world, and yet, as a writer, an observer, and as a teacher, she is, every day, moved by the grace and by the infinite beauty that we, as humans, embody. Our dazzling earth is of an infinite nature; humbly, she lets words only begin to describe it.

Some of her stories have been published in The Sun Magazine and Shanti Arts, Still Point Arts Quarterly.

Aude Ramadier, editor

Aude Ramadier was born in 1986 in the Paris region, France. She has always had a deep love for history and mythology, particularly ancient Egypt, and as a child, she dreamed of becoming an archaeologist.

Naturally, Aude pursued studies in art history. During her Bachelor’s degree, she developed a keen interest in 18th-century French furniture and decorative arts. She went on to earn a Master’s in Art Market Management, which led to five years of work with renowned antique dealers and prestigious auction houses, followed by a role in an insurance consultancy.

Aspiring to take the competitive examination to become an auctioneer, Aude returned to academia and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in law. During a skills assessment, she discovered the profession of proofreader, which allowed her to blend her passion for literature with the skills acquired throughout her professional career and personal interests.

Since September 2022, Aude has been working as a freelance proofreader and developmental editor in French and English (Chicago Manual of Style). With an academic background in art history and a passion for writing, poetry, and culture in general, she particularly enjoys projects that combine these areas.

Aude holds strong ethical, feminist, and environmental beliefs and strives daily to make a positive impact on the world around her. In her spare time, she enjoys acquiring more books and teas than necessary, listening to punk and metal music, writing, attending concerts, visiting countries with rich historical and archaeological heritage, and sharing her passions with her daughters.
